Top 20 Bands

Ok everyone who are your top 20 favorite frontmen (pssst...they don't all have to be men...they can be women too) I'm looking for musicians who have contributed something new to their genre of music, who have in any way revolutionized the way people think of music. Someone who has caught people's attention whether by their voice, performances, look, of videos, or anything else you can think of.
ink's list:
1. incubus (hands down, my favorite)
2. Alanis Morissette (favorite female rocker)
3. Marilyn Manson
4. Nine Inch Nails
5. No Doubt
6. Janis Joplin
7. The Doors
8. Placebo
9. Garbage
10. Red Hot Chili Peppers
11. Jane's Addiction

15. Poe
16. Radiohead
17. Bush
18. Coldplay
19. Tool
20. Tonic
21. Ozzy
22. Alice in Chains

I also ask that you do not post anything offensive when it comes to other people who post their favorites. Everyone has their own taste and you don't have to like but please be courteous. Thanks

Would you say PIL were more important than the Pistols? I prefer PIL but surely Pistols changed music in a more dramatic fashion?

It seems more like a "my twenty favourite artists list"...

I mean A Morissete and Incubus to name two haven't really contributed a lot to music, I'd say...

names that pop in my head as having contributed really something...

The Beatles
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Velvet Underground
Jimi Hendrix
Chuck Berry
Elvis Presley
The Smiths
David Bowie
Joni Mitchell
Tom Waits
King Crimson
Tool
Korn (I don't like Korn anymore, but they did influence- together with the deftones and faith no more and others a lot of (nu metal) bands)

Perhaps you should keep your damn opinions to yourself and just answer the question or not reply to my posts. I for one believe that incubus in particular have contributed a lot to music whereas some of the artists you named I have never even heard of. Therefore, I would say its a matter of opinion about what bands have contributed something to music and those bands who have not. I for one do not think the smiths contributed anything, nor did korn in my opinion.
