I love Darren Hayes too. I've got his album (Spin), and the 2 Savage Garden cds. I think he's got a fantastic voice, and I was very impressed when I saw him sing live at Capital Christmas 2003.

I'm looking forward to his new album.

He's a decent enough singer, but most people unfamiliar with him/Savage Garden would struggle to name 5 of his songs. I have actually 'met' him - I went for a job interview in a hotel in my home town and he was checking out while I was waiting to be interviewed. I didn't get the job BTW but 30 seconds into the interview I knew they already had their person and I was wasting my time. If I ever make millions from this music business I'll remember them hehehe.

Hey Liam
When did that happen? I've been fortunate enough to meet Darren too and he was really really lovely - and even sexier in the flesh!

Taking into account the fact that I hated Savage Garden, is he any good? (at work so can't play music)

Well I know a lot of Savage Garden fans felt that his first solo album was different to Savage Garden's music.

The second album is apparently going to be different again he's been working with people like Marius De Vries, Mark Spike Stent and Nellie Hooper so I know I'm waiting with bated breathe to hear what it sounds like!!

I met him, or rather bumped into him in the hotel in around September 2002 I think. He was staying there cos he was playing a show here.
