Hmm...
I'd say Hillary Duff for sure because...HA HA...I can't keep a straight face.

My favorites are Radiohead and Matt Good (Band). Although I really like Radiohead's lyrics Matt Good's are alot more...shall I say...obvious.

Agreed. A lot of his stuff from when he was in BF5 is extremely witty and clever.

I dodn't say they were bad (although IMO they are), I merely said I didn't think they had very good or original lyrics.

And Radiohead comes close in 2nd.
And nobody would dare forget Dir en Grey. With lyrics about slicing open a masturbating man and soiling his organs, you can't lose.
And "Hey Miss girl is very fond of child." ^^

I'm quite fond of Elliott Smith's lyrics, Eels is amazing too. I'm amazed not to see Bob Dylan mentioned. Anyway there are a lot lyricists that I like, though I don't always pay as much attention to them... And as much as I like Radiohead I don't think the power lies in their lyrics, which often don't mean a lot but are just meant to sound good (Yorke said this himself). it's the way he sings them that's amazing...

here are some that have great lyrics (not only bands): loco locass (in french), everclear, nine inch nails, incubus, kidney thieves, nirvana, led zepplin, les cowboys fringants(french), johnny cash, dave matthews and others that I can't think of at the moment.
I love rage against the machine's lyrics, but it's more about the ideas than the way it is written.
