Need urgent help!!!
I've just purchased the sound blaster Audigy 2 ZS soundcard and I'm having problems with MIDI.
I'm using windows XP and every time I have my MIDI cable hooked up to the joystick/midi port and try to open and midi software (Finale, record producer etc) my computer slows down/freezes or the program starts to load and then just shuts down................I need some serious help, cause I have no idea what to do......anyone (thanx in advance)

Here's a question, if you have an Audigy 2 ZS, why are you using the joystick/midi port? Why not use the standard MIDI ports on the ZS? :S From memory, the ZS has an external I/O box, yeah? If Im wrong, just disregard this paragraph.
Try these ports, and tell me how it goes. Also, if the device you have the MIDI ports connected to is turned on, this could explain it. Contact Creative for some updated drivers, or ensure you're using the right ones, as I understand this has confused more then a few people before.
