Takemura is a very acquired taste. His music hints at being evocative, but for the most part is purely intellectual. I think the same applies to Tetsu's later stuff. But I have to admit that if it came down to Tetsu vs. Nobukazu, Tetsu would win out instantly for creativity of design and structure. Nobukazu is almost predictably experimental.. it doesnt cause you to think as much, or suprise you as much. I think thats why he got play on the fringes of the mainstream leftfied. Tetsu is on a whole other level.
Though I should add: 'Kepler' on Scope is a fantastic track.

yes, I do remember "kepler" actually. Takemura's latest stuff as Child's view, and on "10th" seem to be playful a bit more than experimental, what do you think?

I have only heard part of 10th, but at the time I wasn't feeling it. My familiarity with his work came from Scope and Animate. I had arranged to meet him shortly after it (10th) came out but was charged with finding an interpreter in the last minute, which I was unable to do. I was pissed off with his touring manager and didn't go to the show to see him live. I wish now that I had.
