You Rock My World

One of my favourite songs is 'You Rock My World' by Michael Jackson. Who else likes this song? I think it was one of his best songs in years recalling the old classics such as 'Don't Stop til You Get Enough', 'Rock with You', 'Billie Jean', 'Beat It', 'Bad', 'The Way You Make Me Feel', 'Smooth Criminal', 'Remember the Time' and 'Blood on the Dancefloor'. I think that YRMW is proof that Jackson could still release a good album and singles like he has done so many times in the past. The are two sides to him, the musical genius and the tabloid caricature. I choose the musical path of his career. 'You Rock My World' seems to improve with every listen.

White Noise! Woohoo!
Finally someone else who still appreciates the real king of pop!
If you're looking for loads of positive MJ comments then don't post on this website.... but anyway!...

You Rock My World is such a great song! Invincible album rocks too!

My favourite has to be the old classic Beat it, what a great song...
Also don't you like 'They Don't Care About Us'? Describes how the world's society today rejects people who are different.... hint...

It was definitely the best dance song on Invincible.

There were a lot of other good songs on the album, including Break of Dawn, Heaven Can Wait, Invincible and Whatever Happens.

Yes, I've got a copy of 'They Don't Care About Us' on tape. HIStory is the only MJ solo album for Epic Records that I don't own. 'Invincible' was the first album by MJ that I bought some years after hearing 'You Rock My World' and taping it from the radio. I've listened to it countless times and it is definitely the best track on the album. I agree that 'Invincible', 'Break of Dawn', 'Heaven Can Wait', 'Privacy' and 'Unbreakable' were also greaty song. I suppose its just apity that more songs weren't released as singles from the album. 'Cry' was a rather disappointing follow up to the first single, but there it is. I was surprised to read somewhere that MJ didn't actually want YRMW to be released as a single, but that Sony just released it anyway. Just as well I suppose because it is one of my favourite songs. i can't understand why some critics thought the track was lacklustre and the weakest on the album, when this is simply not the case.

By the way, what do people think of his newest release, 'One More Chance'.

It's ok, not up to the usual Michael Jackson standard, but it's ok I guess...

I agree, Nifty Gibbon, 'One More Chance' was a bit of a disappointment after 'You Rock My World' and the two years and a bit we had to wait for it. Does anyone know where on the internet the YRMW video can be downloaded properly? Was the 'One More Chance' video ever distributed properly? It just seemed to be a collection of clips from previous videos.
