Dark Ambient

Right, I want to do things a bit differently with this thread..

I want to see if we can come to a general consensus on what is the best Dark Ambient album of all time. So not a million suggestions or top tens, let's see if we can agree (or at least mostly agree) on ONE album.

So after reading this thread someone will know exactly which one (or tops 2 or 3) to get hold of rather than being just as confused as before because there are 300 suggestions.

Should make an interesting debate.

I don't know a huge amount of Dark Ambient, but that album is incredible.

I have to second that album.

I dont' know much about dark ambient music. but that one is definitely good.

ya know, many people discount a certain album when it comes to dark ambient and that is aphex twin's "selected ambient works II"...ya know, if you really pay attention the whole 2 cd set, you will realize how scary it can be...

you are right, Josh. almost forgot about that one. some songs are definitely creepy as hell.

and I actually listen to that album the most.
