I am a huge fan of Jelly Roll but he didn't revolutionize music in whole like Satchmo did.

Joplin was ragtime which had no improvistion in it. He was the best ragtime composer but I would not consider him to be avant. Joplin was famous for his composing not his playing ability.

I'm keeping my group small because w/ these players involved this is already way too much chaos!!!

I would just love to hear these players improvise together...(and I could see this happening, Sasaki and Yoshida are in Ruins together and they're acquainted w/ Patton and have played with Zorn)...I think it would quite possibly be the most beautiful noise ever created!

Sasaki Hisashi - Bass
Mike Patton - Lead Vocal
Cecil Taylor - Piano
John Zorn - Sax
Yoshida Tatsuya - Drums/Vocal

Your group is quite reputable, Equinox...er, VST...fuck it, do you care if I just call you Josh from now on, your handles are getting too confusing!

Anyway, yes, your group is definately a 5-star outfit if I've ever seen one.

Very well then.

As for mine, I'll have to get back to this, it will take some thinking.

Al Gore - interpretive dance
Nam June Paik - smashed violin
Meredith Monk - cleanser
Bill Clinton - sexaphone
Linda Lovelace - Didgeridoo
Adolf Hitler - Jew's Harp (we'll resurect him somehow...)

...the resulting music might not be all that listenable, but at least they sure would be a "colorful" group... (which is probably even more important for today's typical MTV/VH1 crowd...)
