No problem.

If you're looking for other difficult Skinny Puppy albums, check out Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse and Last Rights. I've heard people say Too Dark Park is extremely difficult to get into, but it only took me a couple listens. On the other hand, it took me months to come around to Mind and Last Rights. Both are very rewarding, especially the former, at least for me.

Ain't It Dead Yet?

Evilmatik:

I wouldn't worry about the quality of the DVD too much. I'd say it's probably about standard VHS quality. One thing I am confused about is why the Deep Down Trauma Hounds clip on the videos collection is higher quality than the DVD it was taken from.

There are also a few tiny spots where one of the audio channels craps out.

It's well worth the ~$20.

If only they would release a Doomsday DVD. I've got a .mov of Worlock, and it's just incredible.

I am gonna wait.

you see, I am hoping they will re-release all that video stuff with better quality and hopefully more extra stuff, like some kind of complete collection of their videos. and hopefully, other live DVDs, like Bjork but not that many.

i was fortunate enough to see Skinny Puppy in 1990 on the Too Dark Park tour. to this day it is the greatest show i've ever seen. i still have visions of ogre petting a dog that was running full speed on a tv screen during the breakdown solo keyboard part in the middle of "testure"...when he moved his hand away there was a blood streak on the screen......the dog on the screen got shot.....ogre and the dog hit the ground at the same time.....in convulsions....right as the music kicked back in....i get chills to this day when i think of that part..........nothing will ever compare. i hope i decribed that good enough that the next time you listen to testure you will see that image in your mind's eye.

They've gotten into this annoying habit of deliberately mispelling song titles, using capital letters second instead of first, placing apostrophes in weird places, making up words, etc. It's as if they were some kind of IDM group, an autechre wannabe. Cevin Key - sorry, cEvin Key - is especially guilty of this. It's kind of pretentious if you ask me. It was cool and different when electronic groups started doing it in the 90s, but now it's just boring.

I sure hope their album isn't as pretentious and boring as their song titles.

The new album is available for pre-order at Isotank:

page.http://www2.mailordercentral.com/isotank/

Supposedly it's getting released May 25, but I don't see the date anywhere on that page.

I love the new logo!
