I've heard everyone involved say that it was a "wardrobe malfunction", and that the red piece was supposed to stay in place, while the black piece tore away. I also heard that they put the pastie on her just in case both pieces came off.....So, basically you gotta look at it for what it was: a dance routine.
Timberlake and Jackson are paid millions to sing and dance, and when he was asked to rip her shirt off he coulda said "no", but since those 2 are (rumored) messin' around sometimes anyway, so they did it. Plus, you probably do whatever you're told when you're a pop-star, performer....(Lip N-Sync) and Jackson put the pastie on, so it's not like they didn't know the risk involved. (it's assumed risk, like when you go to a baseballgame, you might get hit by the ball)
I agree that it's not at all cool to assault Women in any way, but I think you're seein' it as way too "Evil", Rev.....

[i]Or maybe today's women have finally gotten a life and actually think it's cool to be abused as mere sex toys...but I hope not. [/b]

Gee Rev, I wonder if you got all bent outta shape when Britney came out with that snake, or when Little Kim wore that outfit (with the pastie) and Diana Ross patted her boob.....Oh Shit!!! Did you just lose your mind when Madonna Kissed Britney!! We're all goin' to Hell!!! "Sex sells" you've heard....and I'm just suprised that you hold these pop star idols in the same standards as a regualar Church-goin' American citizen....They're not....They're groomed to be hot and sell it with the sexiness...Elvis tried to do it with his hips and they made him sing to a hound dog on TV because people were all upset at the hip-swingin' heartthrob. You seem to be one of those people....Times have changed man, and while I'm not a fan of pop music or demeaning Women, I still get an OK feeling when I see bikini clad women in my Beer commercials.....
I sure as Hell don't get upset.....
