Korean Mucsic
Just wondering if anyone here listens to some good Korean music. I have some good albums but just wanted to see if anyone else had anything I didn't. And if you know of some good Japanese artists thats cool too.

I don't know much Japanese or Korean music, although I am very open to it. I do own a cd which is the soundtrack for the manga flick 'Ghost In The Shell'. The composer is Kenji Kawai. It's incredible, the opening song.

The only Korean artist I know is Youjeen. I've heard of her old group, Cherry Filter. That's about all I know. But I'm a huge Japanese music fan.

Current Korean music sucks - I should know, I live in Korea.
I live in Ilsan (northwest of Seoul), the headquarter city for KMTV (Korean Music Television), and every Wednesday night from spring to autumn, there are free concerts in the local shopping district (called LaFesta). It's a great place to go to see emotionless, uninspired, untalented - yet free - teenie pop. It sucks.
Korea's best bands/artists are/were San-ul-rim and Kim Kwang-seok (RIP).
The album cover above is an album of daegeum songs. Daegeum is a traditional bamboo flute. The artists on that album are Lee Saeng-kang and Lee Sung-jin. Daegum sounds beautiful, a wonderful instrument.
K-Pop and J-Pop - just like A-Pop (American Pop) - are horrid.
