I love black star. I thought they were coming out with a new one at some point. I know Mos Def is supposed to have a new album coming up in a few months.
anyway, some artist you may wanna check out, Blackalicious, Common, The Roots, and Talib's solo stuff.

Check out the sound bombing albums, the first one is very good and I'm sure you'd like it.
Talib Kweli & DJ Hi-tek - Reflection Eternal, amazing album and "the blast" is a great song to get you started on the album.
