That's like saying since Green Day is a derivative of punk I will recommend them instead of say The Clash or The Ramones.

Let's look at it from her or anyone else asking for a recommendation that you don't know their financial situation.

If you asked someone for recommendations wouldn't you want them to recommend to you what the vast majority considered best you can get? That way you can truly get your money's worth?

Honestly, with all the greats and legends you could have recommended are you really saying those are the two best options? Especially when you don't know her tastes or her financial situation.

As I said Chet Baker is jazz. He is not one of my favorites but I have many recordings he is involved in.

I don't mean this to be taken the wrong way but how long have you listened to jazz? I have been a fan for 25+ years and have a huge collection.

oh yeah, whats the score? erm, i guess i could look it up, but your watching it. whats the score, lol

Yeah, your point is very vaild. But some people like options. They dont want a dictatorship of whats good and bad. So ya never know what somebody might like, I just added those "in addition" to what was posted above, maybe I would have been more accurate to post some song titles. instead of just names.

so who won?

Hey im glad we could talk things out. I thought maybe you were one of those people that just like to stir up trouble. But you don't seem that way, you were just protecting the name of jazz.
