Don't worry about, I can just say hello around here and people think, I am a Superior Prick.

P.S. My accountants are working on your bill. I also have serf program, if you can't pay the bill.

P.P.S. As Roivas, Seba, Jazzfromhell, and many others can tell you, I am not joking.

P.P.P.S. I had to remove someone from the Grasshoppas; so, there is an opening. Although, there is a long line of potential candidates, and a degree of quality posts is needed to qualify for the opening.

Dig man, it's all good. By the way, I don't believe Satchmo had Miles Davis's Bitches Brew on the list he gave the link to, which is one of my top five favorite albums, ever. It's fusion, which some people consider to be basically rock, but it's typically considered jazz. Anyway, I'm rambling, and possibly showing signs of not knowing what I'm talking about. Check it out, it's great.

There is an art to making a suggestions. I didn't forget Bitches Brew, you can't forget a classic recording like Bitches Brew.

At the time, of that particular suggestion, it was a general list. Since the original person in question, didn't mention what he/she liked. Some people don't dig Bitches Brew.

Without knowing what people's general tastes are, I have to be somewhat limiting when I make initial suggestions.

I also didn't add in any Cecil Taylor and there should always be some if not all Cecil in a collection.

I could have given at least 20 from Miles, Coltrane, Newk, Bird, Monk, Duke, etc...

Personally, I think both In a Silent Way and Jack Johnson were actually better than Bitches Brew. If you can afford it, the box sets for each of those is great.

For those who're fans of Miles' Live Evil, they're finally releasing the Cellar Door box set. Live Evil was taken from those performances. So, if you dig Live Evil you're going to love this set.

I didn't say you forgot it, I just said you didn't include it. I just wanted to let doldrums know that that was an album I'd highly reccomend, and that he should try listening to it. Although you are right, not all people like Bitches Brew, so if I were doldrums I wouldn't blind buy it.

Are you saying that all of Live-Evil is included on the Cellar Door box? Because if so, I'm glad you brought it up, Live-Evil has been on my short list of albums to buy for a while.

I thought I was clear, but

The long answer:

Yes!

The short answer:

YO!

P.S. As I have said many times before, if Satchmo hangs around long enough the Grasshoppa's will learn one or 10,000 things.

An update on the Miles Davis' Cellar Door set.

For whatever reason, everyone else is charging close to triple of cduniverse's pre-order.

Check out Amazon's price

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...079529-4775262

It could be, that cduniverse has mispriced the set. They have a habit of doing that, on occassion.

It does seem strange that they have a 6cd set for only $39.19. Even their regular price is only $44.25.

Might want to jump on this, before they catch on.

Apparently, they just changed the price. It's now even lower at $38.49 from the earlier price of $39.19, which was the price it was at, when I made my earlier warning post. There is no way that can be the correct price. That is $6.415 a cd.

Buy it, before they get a clue!

If you already ordered it, cancel the order and reorder it at the lower price.

I just ordered it. Can they yank up the price without warning?

No, once you order it they're obligated to give it to you at that price.
