rap versions of rock songs

i was wondering if anyone could suggest some songs for me? a while ago i was at a party and someone played a rap version of a song called Bittersweet Symphony by the Verve. i'm sure you know of the song, but just in case- it's a rock ballad type of song with violins. the singer i'm sure never intended any type of hip hop bounce in the song at all. but for some strange reason, the rapping sounded really cool with the rock track behind it.

so i was wondering if anyone could suggest some other songs like it that i could find somewhere? like rap versions of popular (or not so popular) rock songs. if you could give exact names, that'd be great, thanks!

was it actually a rap cover of bittersweet symphony? or a rap track that used the strings from the rolling stones' 'the last time' as a sample?

i've never heard the Rolling Stones' 'the last time'... but i'm almost 100% sure that it was bittersweet symphony in the background.

here are a few i can recall:
1) walk this way/aerosmith covered by run dmc.
2) why worry/dire straits covered by deetah ("relax").
3) I'll be watching you by the police brilliantly covered by p.diddy-"i'll be missing you".
4) what was the song warren g used in his "regulate"?
5) my personal favorite - "under pressure" by Queen covered by an artist called after an ice cream brand
6) "when doves cry" by the artist previously known as the artist previously known as prince - was used by mc hammer in his masterpiece "that's how we pray".

I guess what i want to say is that true artists write their own shit. or they sample something in a delicate and creative manner.

Has anyone heard that rap song with Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit in it? It's really bad...a disgrace to Nirvana...seriously.
