Any new artists out there?

Hi!

I have only just joined radio mute and I am looking to find out about any new artists out there. I am about to begin the adventure of recording my debut album and I am interested in finding out if there's anyone else here who is doing the same. Or perhaps there is a thread out there that you guys could recommend.

Thanks..

Hi! I write whatever I feel and whatever I dream. Sonically they have come up quite interesting because I am working with a producer that comes from an electronic background and he's really into guitars. I write my ideas down on pro tools or a tape recorder will do! I don't have a band either, but I can't wait to get one started.

So you write on guitar?! I wish I could play guitar. Do you write on acoustic, electric or both? What do you write about?

Thank you! I do the same too, I write a lot about what pisses me off. I don't know Samick acoustics. I'll look them up....wow, I just saw a Samik Greg Bennet acoustic in blue. I don't know what is a good one or not, but I love that blue one. And it's in the sale! Oh well, I'm skint right now (lol).

I've been writing for years but I wasn't ready to go out into the business for quite a while. I did go to a few labels and stuff when my demos were very, very rough, and I found that people in the biz can't always hear what you are trying to put across artistically.

Where are you at with your writing these days?

well ive only just started writing songs. ive got about 4 completed songs(with guitar) and 11 songs with just lyrics. u can view most my songs in the "songbook" thread. what im trying to do now is make my songs more artistic and trying to get having "pain, soul, crying, lying, falling" out of my songs. and im trying to write about meaningful things. ill give you an example:

"Someones talking, I hear the sounds, no words
Im being beaten, I feel the fist, no pain
Its raining. I feel the wind, no water
I trip, I feel the laughter, no dirt"

and im also trying to write a song about dreaming. and im trying to get away from 'generic" lyrics and trying to make my guitar express my moods better

Wow. I think those lyrics are beautiful. I'll check out the 'songbook' thread too. Are you in the process of combining guitar with the other 11 songs?

it doesnt seem to work that way with me. i cant write lyrics then add guitar to it. i have to come up with a guitar riff then write a song around it. well actually it has worked once by writing the lyrics then the guitar but doesnt happen very often
