Heard a nifty garage/psychedelic rocker (very catchy) on RM member Miles Mingus online radio station tonight called "Loving on Borrowed Time" by Half Pint & The Fifths...

What a great (and goofy) band name...

Come to think of it, one of the goofiest psychedelic band names was for a band that only existed in another band's imagination...Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band!

Very very true... We are so familiar with that name, but it really is very goofy...

Not the name, but I think The Byrds made some pretty goofy music in my opinion (although I do like it), if they are considered psychadelic...

Really, like what? I don't consider their their stuff all that weird except perhaps the Coltrane inspired guitar work in Eight Miles High (and yes, they did have some psychedelic stuff like Renaissance Fair and Eight Miles High)...

Hey Syd, it's nice to hear you're still enjoying the station...The garage bands had the greatest names for themselves, it's almost like they new they would not make the big time, so they had fun not only with their music but also with their names....Here's some more off of the Back From The Grave comps:

...Me & Them Guys
...One Way Streets
...Willie the Wild One
...Bottomless Pit
...Rocky And The Riddlers
...Puddin' Heads
...Beep Beep & The Roadrunners
...Sir Winston And The Commons

By the way...All these groups get airplay on the station...Peace...Miles
