well, idont know exactly what the point of this thread is but when looking back at what The Monkees actually did, iwas blown away. their debut album went to #1 [all of this is in the u.s. charts] and was knocked out of top spot by their sophomore album. then their third album debuted at #1 and was knocked down to #2 only by The Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' and those two albums remained #1 and #2 all summer. thats some crazy shit right there.
