It's not just for gay men. It's smooth, It's for us who have more of a Jazz backround not as much hardcore. Myself being a straight male spinning D'n'B (John B, Funk N Flex, MIST, Marky & XRS......etc.) It's wot I like to hear, it's aurally pleasing to me, Plus I do it for the ladies, the ladies like to hear it too. It brings them out and I would rather see them clillin w/ DnB instead of leaving to check the trance set.

p.s. What's wrong with Zinc

As you are from london maybe you can help me out.

Does Kiss100 FM Still do Wednesday and Sunday DnB sessions?
I know that they used to have Jumpin Jack Frost & Hype & Ray Keith doing the shows. And if they still do them what time are they on? I'd like to hear them on Kiss Website (I can't seem to find a schedual that helps me)

thanks

I'm sure I can just go to the website and find this out but can you listen to radio 1 broadcast over the 'net?
I live state side and enjoy european DnB much better. But Adam F is on Kiss saturdays @ 1am london time.
Thanks.

not sure about radio 1 over the net never had to do it b4! thats cool u listen to good d and b and ya from u.s! where's torrington? i was jokin bout L.E, i just think some of their tunes would sound better with girl vocals. and Dj Zinc a bit on the garage side for me, i love jungle so u can understand......... girl d and b ravers in England sound as though they're a bit more hardcore!

It's true, The girls over here are little pop-princess', Chillin' in the trance room.....wait there are no rooms it's all trance.( well in the clubs it is, you have to go "RAVING" to find DnB). I got into it in '99 by finding some kiss 100 set's on Napster, Classics like Hype, JJF, Zinc (back before he went 2step), ray keith, and even some ed rush. The best part about those were they told you the name of their tune (plus being from the US of A The accents must be the best part). I started spinning a few years back for myself, I've never spun out but have dj some small house parties for friends. My favorite producer was John B. but he went into some crazy synth/trance stuff. It all started going down hill after he put out american girls (dope track by the way, oneof the only i've heard by a brit prasing the US for whatever reason).

as for the L.E. comment, as DJ Hype Taught me so many years ago........
"It's for the ladies, can't forget the ladies, Big Up"

Hype is the only UK DJ I have not seen (Out of the ones I've wanted to see) A FEw years back, the limelight in New York City was throwing GLOBAL BASS parties, every second thursday of the month they brought in the best in DnB. I saw roni size do a live DnB concert set there. not to mention.........
JJ Frost,
Andy C
Shimon
Shy FX ( Twice, both labeled his last US appearance)
Aphrodite,
Mickey Finn,
Ray Keith,
Zinc,
Empress..........

and the list went on. It was the best n UK DnB In the jolly ol' US of A. Now you can't find Shit.......it's sad.

I've Seen John B. 4 times. The first two I was Blown away. He rocked the house. The third time was when I first heard American Girls, meaning it was the start of his elecrto move. The last time he was spinnig CD's of most of his elecrto stuff......quite weird.
actually my friend stole one of his CD's with some unrealeased stuff, or it was back then. my fav was fiction (the 'orgy' vocal mix).
It's also had do you remember, american girls, elecrtofreak..........
serves him right for spinning CD's. It's a lot harder to snag a vinyl.
(Although I realsie we shouln't have done it.....it twas quite the asshole thing to do, but hey we were drunk.)
