Miss Sarajevo

My favourite single: EBTTRT but it was really hard to pick one.

Larry Mullen -

Adam Clayton - Hasn't aged well

Favourite Album - It's always changing, probably my least favourite is Zooropa just never really got into that one, the album I listen to most is AB but have been listening a lot to October and Pop recently.

Bono and his politics: Sometimes he really does og overboard about it, some people have complained that he can't mix music with politics, to quote Adam from R&H "that's bullsh*t". Bono has a good heart, he can make himself heard, and he is right to make a stand for it, I especially agree with his speech during Rattle & Hum during SBS and his views on the troubles here.

Favourite U2 video/ DVD:

Rattle and Hum - The version of BTBS - a song I didn't like before i love it on this

Pop - The Lemon Boomcha Discotheque - Popmart tour was quite excellent.

U2 go home - reminds me of being there, good times good times were had by all

well, each U2 song listed above has a different memory and different feeling in my mind indeed,
and every that are not listed. But i have to admit after Pop, they simply lost that magic on me.
For my opinion not many albums can substitute Achtung Baby..
so now that "Ultra Violet (Light My Fire)" and "Until The End Of The World" do not appear,
i'LL go with "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses"..

Come on now loOoOove, don't you lOOk baaaaaack!!!!!

the accent of icelandic words falls in almost all cases on the first syllable. the exceptions are

1.words that have the negative prefix "ó-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg óhreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn

in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.

I voted for "New Years Day",,, if more of their songs were as good as it, I would consider them a very good band... I just don't hear the "drive" and melodic force of that song in many others by them... That song pounds at you, and has some great riffs...

Believe it or not, I'm not actually a huge fan of U2's. I like their newer, experimental stuff better than their old stuff. What I really dislike about U2 is their "preachy"-ness and self-righteousness. The newer stuff is not as much about political activism as it is about rock and roll. Rattle & Hum is just a great live album, despite when Bono is talking about politics and whatnot in between songs.

hmph! well, seein as how politics is much of what Rattle & Hum and Pop are about [that and God] you might wana rethink and go with something like Zooropa as your favourite since it has your favourite track as well.
