new amp?

Panbient, I'm going with your suggestion and getting a new amp. I'm thinking about getting one around the 50 watt range so it will definitely be loud enough for when I jam with other people. I'm almost positive about a Marshall MG50DFX. Does anyone have any suggestions on other amps?

if you've got the cash you won't regret getting a marshall... but WOW 50 watts is super loud for jamming with friends... you won't be turning up past 3 EVER ... but at the same time it'll last you for as long as you want it and prove to be worthy when you start playing shows...

but i'm kind of iffy on built on digital effects i might just be a stickler here but i'd rather have spring based reverb than digital...

cd input sounds like a really nice feature... i had to crank up my stereo to play along to my cds...

I probably won't use the digital effects. I'll probably just stick to my Boss pedals. I want one that will last for when I do gig. Thanks for the advice.

right on... i'd still try out the digital effects (saves on batteries heheh) but there's something about spring based reverb that you can't get with the digital equivalent... it's just not possible to get the snapping thunder echo type sound without the springs... then again you're not supposed to kick your amp while your playing to get that snapping thunder sound from the reverb springs either

i got the MG15CDR and love the spring reverb.the DFX didnt really impress me much.one thing's for sure the marshall rules.the tones i am getting from the squier are all thanx for the marshall.just gr8 bluesy sounds i wanted.

as for MG50DFX,i saw the bootlg beatles use them at a showrecently.seem good to me for live gigs...........as for their gibsons and epi casinos................when will i get super rich??

50 watts....Good god man

I got a Marshall Micro stack(a small head and 2 10's) in my room right now, it's 15 watts and definetly loud enough. It does have a nice sound clean, and some pretty good drive, I'm not much of a judge though because my shitty Squier pick-ups sound like ass played through anything.

You do know how loud 50 watts will be right? Maybe go for something a tad cheaper, and use your pedal for effects.

Well I just checked the prices on the 50 watt, and it only runs like under $400 or so right? If so then I guess if you got the money you could go for it, I was expecting it to cost like $800 since it's 50 watt.

30 would be loud enough to jam in any garage I'm sure, but if you got the money for the 50...
