I also came from Montello and graduated in 1964. I played with Rex Rhode when he was done with Underground Sunshine. Terry Bond was the piano player myself Warren Winkler on bass and Rex on Guitar, Chris Bond was vocal I'm not sure who the drummer was at that time though. Terrys older brother was on lead guitar and he owned Bond Auto Body in Montello. I would also like to get the MP3 of the group but no-one seems to post where to get it. I have been out of touch with Frank and Bert for years. It sounded like they went back to Germany. I thought that Mary Whirry was the piano player in Underground Sunshine?.

Hi Warren! I graduated in 1970. It was Janie Whirry on piano. She married Frank, but they were divorced a few years later. As far as I can tell, Bert still lives in Montello, and Frank has remarried and I think is living in LaCrosse. It looks like every body in Underground Sunshine used an alias! Janie Little is Janie Whirry, and Frank and Bert Kohl are the Koelbl brothers. Is Chris Connors really Chris Connors, or is that really Rex Rhode? Bons

No Rex Rhode also lives in Montello on Clay street like he has for the last 30 years or so. Your right it was Janie Whirry not Mary because Mary was in my class of 1964. I think Janie was Mary's younger sister. Mary married Gerard Glover if I remember correctly. Do you remember the Foley sisters? Rex Rhode played with underground Sunshine on the today is Your Birthday record. I meant to say Mary Whirry's sister played piano in my last post.
