It never occurred to me that they were similar, but after comparing, they do have moments where they sound alike.

Just my opinion, but I think that Om has more depth than Diadem Of 12 Stars. It could be the atmospheric elements... it could be the interesting concept behind the album... I'm not quite sure. Something about it transcends black metal.

P.S. I've stated it before, but I'm a huge fan of Diadem Of 12 Stars.
