Best pop vocalist(post 2000).

Seeing as how we all love such discussions, my favourite vocalist is Colin Meloy, of The Decemberists. Who's yours?

You mean someone that made his debut after 2000, right?,For me, it's either Jack White from the White Stripes (are they post-2000?) or the singer from Coldplay.

Shakira or Beyonce. But I don't know any of their songs because I turn the sound down.

Most talented?? Christina Aguilera by far.. can sing most songstresses in any genre under the table... its a shame she hoe'd out and didint let her voice stand on its own, cause it sure as hell could

its nota shame at all [no, im not gonna turn this into a big hornfest over agueleria]. ipersonally think her following this path of self expression and liberation is doin wonders for her artistically. beyond the obvious vocal superiority, it is what really seperates her from all the other fluff in her immeadiate competition [britney spears, jessica simpson, etc.]. and she goes about it in an intelligent, thoughtful and iway. she may not be the girl iwant my [hypothetical] daughter under the age of say 16 or so to model, but after that ithink shes standin up for a lot of things resembling the kind of woman ican well appreciate on thinking level.

I agree w/ chrisarclark 100%.

Christina has so much control over the type of entertainer she wants to be, now. I think she is doing an incredible job, and she's definitely growing up a lot in the process.
