Why where so many blues musicians back in the 20's, 30's and 40's blind? Blind Willie McTell, Blind Blake, Blind Willie Johnson, Blind Boy Fuller, Blind Lemon Jefferson etc.

the most recent one is Paul Pena. he is from san francisco, very talented blues player and blind. I wouldn't know about him if I didn't see that movie Genghis Blues.

He was the main character in Genghis Blues because he himself is a blues singer and he also mastered how to do tuvan throat singing all on his own.

Yeah but why are they all blind? And what the hell is tuvan throat singing?

Wasn't it because they all drank liquor in the prohibition era?
