Angry Yamaha 01v and Audiowerk 2

Hi everyone. I have a problem. I know this is a long one... sorry I've recently purchaised a Yamaha 01v digital mixer and I can't get it do work properly for two reasons. I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this one...

Scenario-
I have the mixer connected via digital coax cables and monitors are plugged into the stereo out sockets as opposed to the monitor out.

Issues-

1. The mixer keeps reporting wordclock sync errors when I come in and out of Logic. Possibly to do with the sync options of logic compared to those of the audiowerk multimedia driver, it's definetly a pain in the ass though. Is it normal to be resynching wordclock all the time?

2. Previously on my analog mixer I could choose the channel I wanted to send to monitor out (using the PFL button). I used monitor out as the signal output for recording. This way I could record audio to Logic whilst still hearing the prerecorded material and not having it dubbed onto what I was recording. (I'm I making sense). I can't figure out how to get this done or an alternative that will do the same. Any ideas? Thanks
