Dio
Any Dio fans on here? I saw him with Deep Purple and the Scorpions a few years ago and the man still has an incredible voice. He's often been called the man with the golden throat and if you listen to him much its easy to see why.

They say that his lyrics may have single-handedly inspired Spinal Tap. He has a pretty good voice.

The amazing thing about Dio is how long he has been singing at his level. Back in the 60's he was fronting carious bands - it's actually kind of humorous if you can get an ear on some of his Ronnie and the Prophets stuff.
While he may have turned into something of a caricature over the years, we have a huge list of stuff his voice improved. From getting early Rainbow going to bailing out Black Sabbath with a couple of great albums to his first couple of solo albums, he had a lot to like.
But the thing is, the Dio song that always sticks in everyone's head is "Rainbow in the Dark". I don't think there is much that will change that. Say "Dio", and either that song or the hilarious one by Jack Black comes to most minds...

Yeah, Dio freakin' rocks. A lot of his solo stuff is somewhat 80s metal (not in a hair metal way) cheese, but it's great stuff. It's kind of ironic that Black Sabbath is better known for their stuff with Ozzy, but Dio is ten times the singer Ozzy can ever dream of being (not to crack on Ozzy, I love his stuff too).
