well, good aspect.
but i think it'd fit to the closing track of 13, (disregarding the magnificance of optigan1),
'cause i feel a mood of being dazed after a such exhausting depression on Tender,
and now it's like a flashback having given initially the result.

the accent of icelandic words falls in almost all cases on the first syllable. the exceptions are
1.words that have the negative prefix "ó-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg óhreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn
in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.

Good tune, but I actually prefer the much heavier live version that is on "The Kids Are Alright"... That live version takes the keyboard riff and transfers it to the bass and electric lead guitar, and the results are stunning...

You better you bet that "The Kids Are Alright" version is amazing. I don't have the album but I have the DVD so I know what you're talking about. Speaking of TKAA, what do you think of their performance of A Quick One on that DVD? Visually and audibly stunning. In fact it's so impressive that when one of my roommates saw it in passing he said "holy crap those guys suck" (his tastes are a contra indicator of quality).

I like the whole album/movie... "A Quick One" is very cool (I don't remember, but wasn't that a clip from Woodstock???)

Naw it's from something called the Rock n' Roll Circus. Here's what TKAA liner notes says about it:
----
Another failed television program is the source of this performance (A Quick One) shot in the London suberb of Wembley on December 10, 1968. The Rolling Stones and The Who were behind a television special featuring the greatest names in British music interspersed with clowns and fire-eaters. Had the show been released as planned, The Rolling Stones and The Who were to tour the UK as a travelling circus. Unfortunately, this performance by the tour-tested Who showed up the road-rusty Stones to such a degree that the show and tour were shelved. Video of the complete program was not released until 1996.
----
If you have the DVD version of TKAA and not the VHS (which chops off the first few minutes of the performance), you get to see an eye patch wearing Keith Richards introduce the Who.

Yikes,,, I should have known that... I have the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus video and CD... The Who were awesome in it as was John Lennon, and Taj Mahal too... Also, The Stones were pretty good I thought, but The Who were really at their peak...

Anyway, my top 3 might be:
Weezer - My Name's Jonas
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Beck - Devils Haircut

That is truly a great one... An amazing riff in that tune (which Beck admits he stole from the Troggs,,, but he gave it a fuller more modern treatment)...
