Talking Technique Help!!!

Name a technique. You see I am making songs and I want them to be good but I dont know any like techniques that would besides hammer-ons and pull-offs. Please help me!!

Well you are supposed to develop your own 'technique' which would usually come with years of practice.

I've been playing for about a year or 2, and I guess my technique involves alot of vibrato style bends like David Gilmour used to do so well.

I really don't know what to tell you, except keep practicing....You shouldn't really try to learn a technique it should just come to you.

techniques for songwriting? I don't know, play around with chords, figure out some interesting progressions, and build a little melody on top of that, even if it's just picking various notes on the chords. Example: Hotel California
