well, the album pictured above is theyre debut and was one of the best records of 2003. id say thats enough reason.

I quite like their album... Quite diverse and enjoyable rock, and yeah definitely influenced by The Smiths and Joy Division and... but I don't care if it's good... Saw them opening for Interpol, and they were quite good... dressed in a weird way, which was nice... maybe lacking just a tiny bit of stage experience... and too bad "The Spirit Of St Louis" isn't included on the album...

British Sea Power don't sound original, to be fair, but nor do they re-work a tired formula. They're kind of creating a sound that hasn't been heard for a while. Plus live they are phenominal, and the album artwork is good.
