but why would you want to compose something that you couldn't take the enjoyment of actually playing it? The satisfaction of being able to play something you composed or wrote yourself is almost an indescribable feeling, at times. So euphoric.

...and I'll go out on a limb and say the person is Rasputin

well, perhaps he played it in his time.

However it would be misleading to call him a Musician due to the nature of his music that he composes.

Since no-one has got it.

It is ERIK SATIE.

I've never seen a photo of him.

Did you know that he invented background music?

...DOH!!!

...I just KNEW it was going to be somebody like that... I tried looking for unusual pictures of Nietzsche, varous slavic and russian composers, and YES Satie, a few misc of "les six" (Honegger, Milhaud, Poulenc) and even Ravel... but didn't find that particular pic...

... of course if you'd provided a *MUSICAL* link then we ALL would have gotten it right away... but then that's not what this particular guessing game is about... oh well...

We're probably all used to seeing pictures of him when he was a bit older... the white-haired man with the van-dyke/goatee, glasses, top-hat or bowler hat, looking more impish, enigmatic and much less Bohemian than his younger days...

Any clues, Seba? It looks contemporary, so I fancy my chances on this one, even though I've been generally useless so far.

I just knew it would be a Skin Graft band. I bet it's one of those I don't own anything by, Arab on Radar, or Dazzling Killmen?

Fingers crossed it's not US Maple, and I'll end up looking like a muppet.
