Finally, someone got it!

And it's not a problem that you didn't know the rules, sorry if I sounded hostile, I was just kidding around...

Feel free to post another... (( I've got a class to go to in a few minutes, so I probably won't be able to respond ))

I went to Glenn Branca's website and listened to a couple of things. I don't know, my bullshit detector went haywire.

He's a theatre guy, so that would explain his exaggerated conducting that doesn't seem to affect the music in any way. He's just acting I guess.

The way he explains the music bothers me. A little pretentious.

Tremolo effects are great. To a point.

You guys have turned me on to a few new things and I appreciate that. Don't want you to think I'm just being negative for the sake of it.

For a nice heavy-metal sound...I prefer Christopher Rouse or the modern northern Euros.

His stuff is great. VERY listenable, interesting "concrete" music. He's a sound engineer, not a real composer in the Ligeti sense of the word, but he's extremely creative.

Luna Park and Water Music are the ones I have. I don't know of any sites with sound files.

Anyway, here's one for Geoff:

I don't remember her name, but that ear-piercing flutist for the Da Capo Chamber Players could learn a thing or two from this guy. She tends to quadruple-forte every note that happens to lie in the upper register. Annoying!
