Braindancing-
Is there a genre called "Braindance"..?
And if not, I think that they should make it a sub-genre of IDM-

actually, Braindance was a term coined by Richard D. James himself (Aphex Twin). It's basically just another name for what is called "IDM". But I know the ending of "Mt Saint Michel Mix+St Michaels Mount" on his 'Drukqs' album, will most certainly make your brain dance.

"Mt Saint Michel Mix+St Michaels Mount" is an incredible song, especially from around the 6 min mark and on-
i love the dreamy, trance'ish sound taht is found in alot of IDM
stuff like "bike" off of Incunabula, "ageipolis" from SAW, "cliffs" from SAW2, "random summer" off of Mum's "Yesterday was.."
it's also in "Tranceport"
know anymore..?
i'd really l-l-like to know some more =)
peace<

did you say "tranceport"? are you referring to the Paul Oakenfold release? If so, I had this album years back, and now it would just refer to my ass. Don't find any talent in a guy that just mixes things for a living, yet do respect that he's made money at it for years.
anymore? There's just so much I would have to go through. I'm sure if you just gaze through the forum that you will be able to find some good suggestions.

I didn't say it was a good CD =), but it does have aspects of "braindance" in it-
Braindance, braindance, braindance, i really need a good definition for it-

Braindance, at least in my mind, implies little mice scurrying around in your head.

Not sure which particular sound you mean... If you're after fat pads I can always cite Gridlock at you till I'm blue in the face!
