Air DVD sounds cool, although I'd prefer videos to live footage.

trust me... i've seen air live (best show i've ever seen)... and the live footage will be GOOD... they're fantastic on stage... as cliche as it sounds their songs really do take on new lives when performed for an audience...

I'm sure they were amazing live and I probably will purchase the DVD but it will be nothing compared to actually seeing them, this tends to be my problem with live DVDs: No matter how good they are it's no way near the real thing.

good point... but of course, it's better than buying a live CD. i'd pay an extra 5 or ten bucks to get the visual

good point... it's not the same but like afflatus said... the extra $5 for the visuals is worth it (especially with air) hehehe

I am surprised nobody mentioned the Live Led Zeppelin DVD that came out this past summer. It is outstanding. I also heard the recently released Rush In Rio DVD kicks ass as well.

Times ain't like they used to be: Early American Rural and Popular Music (1928 -1935)
A music video collection from the early early years. Real cool.
Artists included:
Jimmie Rodgers
Whistler's Jug Band
Jack Johnson's Jazz Band
Bob Will's Texas Playboys
and lots of local farmers and slaves who never made it big.
Realy interesting, and funny at times.
