MMmmmm teresa roncon.

i also really enjoyed sook yin lee too. i'm pretty sure she hosts 'definitely not the opera' on cbc radio now but i don't listen to radio much.

you ever hear how roncon replaced gallagher as host of the power hour back in the day?

better yet. do you remember test pattern?

I remember when Roncon took over and it soon became the Power 30. I don't why Gallagher was replaced though, did it have something to do with Test Pattern?

One more: Erica Ehm...

yeah erica ehm was on her way out when i first started watching much but i remember her being quite nice on the eyes too. on top of all that, all 3 women we've mentionned also seemed to have a solid clue about music (especially sook yin lee) unlike most of the people hosting MM now.

test pattern was the old game show they used to have on much in the late 80s, the one where the 'winning' contestant would be strapped to the spinning wheel while wearing a helmet with a clicker attached to determine their prize. think laying on the spinning wheel on wheel of fortune only not so horizontal .

the story i heard as to why roncon took over from gallagher as host of the power hour was due to a glenn danzig interview. i never saw this and i'm only going on what a big danzig fan told me. but according to him roncon was the camera operator for the power hour and gallagher was conducting the interview and then he flat out asked danzig if he was the devil. then POW. one elbow smash to the face later, gallagher is out cold on the floor, people are kind of freaking out, they cut to video, come back, gallagher is gone and the first question roncon asks is whether or not she'll get an elbow in the face if she asks him a bad Q .

Yeah, I remember Test Pattern but I never watched it.
I never heard that story before. It seems strange though: Danzig strikes an interviewer intentionally - with his elbow! - on national television and they don't cancel the interview? Sounds rather suspect. I wonder what the real story is?

While drinking a 2-4 of Moosehead, watching the '72 Summit Series, and listening to The Tragically Hip.
