Anyone in the mood to hear something different for a change? Neo-classicism meets minimalism meets euphoria. Brilliant album from none other than the toytronic label based in England. Ever listen to an album that had some sort of classical influence, yet was over powered by IDM or some other type of electronic genre? Sure, it's catchy, but you long to hear something different perhaps, and I think this is the album that has fulfilled mine.
Think of pure violins layered with an actual orchestra; the slightest of programming in the background and not the usual foreground of 'impressing everyone with my over programming qualities'. With the first listen, you will be sedated into a gleeful consciousness. The first part of the album starts off as described, and the latter half flows endlessly like the minimalistic marimbas of Steve Reich. I would classify this along with Ulrich Schnauss' "Far Away Trains Passing By". It's not the intelligence of it, but the actual quality and substance that's behind it.
You can be a genius and make something brilliant, but can you make it last for eternity? This guy has.
