i think the closing track of to bring you my love:
"the dancer" is simply ace...
she has an extraordinary vocal on there..

1.words that have the negative prefix "贸-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg 贸hreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn
in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.

Henry Lee is a fine song, but I don't consider it pne of Nick Cave's of PJ's best ones... and I prefer solo PJ over the collaborations with Thom Yorke, I liked them though...

i've never seen the video, the only reason i mentioned it is that i have had 'to bring you my love' and stories... for about 2/3 years but for some reason never followed it up. but my friend a few weeks back lent me the best of nick cave and it had henry lee on there, before this i had no idea they had done a collaboration!!.

if you mean with "they" : PJ & Nick Cave, they lived together in the mid 90's indeed,
and after a bloody separation they dedicated their next coming albums to each other:
To Bring You My Love and Boatman's Call.. Two bloody albums, god...
I always try to disregard to know those lyrics are written for him,
cause i want them for me special, damn...
C'mon Billy
..How many nights now
Your child inside of...
Don抰 forget me
I had your son
Damn thing went crazy
But I swear you抮e the only one
C抦on billy, come to me
C抦on alone, billy, come to me..
the Dancer
..My love will stay till the riverbed run dry
And my love lasts long as the sunshine blue sky
I love him longer as each damn day goes
The man is gone and heaven only knows..
Send His Love To Me
..How long must I suffer?
Dear god, I've served my time
This love becomes my torture
This love, my only crime..
Mummy, Daddy, please
Send him back to me..
I'm begging Jesus, please
Send his love to me..

She's one of the greatest female artists of the 90s, and maybe my personal favorite female artist from that decade. I started listening to her way back, when "Dry" came out. That's still probably my favorite PJ album, with "Rid Of Me" a close second. (My only problem with "Rid Of Me" is that the production is really screwed up - it's difficult to hear in many places. That's Steve Albini's fault though, not PJ's.) "To Bring You My Love" is also pretty great.

agree with you on the sound quality on Rid Of Me. total shite. its a big reason why the 4-Track Demos is a better listen at times.
