Thumbs down the worst band

i just want to see what band/group/artist/entertainer is the worst.

im not talking about the band that just played your nephew's barmitzfah(sp?), i want to know who you all think really should not have ever gotten a record deal or been played on the radio.

i'll agree with eiffel 65... that blue song pissed me off more than anything else...

and the only band i can think of that used masks effectively were mr. bungle... they wanted to be able to keep playing shows in the early 90s without having people screaming about them having the singer from faith no more...

Ohh that's a hard one seeing as I'm not all too fond of people like Christina and Britney... but I think I might have to say either :

A.) Slipknot because they piss me off with the whole "We wear masks so people will foxus on our music rather than our looks" and that is complete BS seeing as their trademarks are their masks.

or

B.) Eifle 65. I think they had one song I didn't want to shoot them for making.

whats wrong with trademarks?

nothing wrong with trademarks... but are you in business or making music? trademarks are great if you're selling a product... but when the product IS the trademark then there's a problem...

wel.. anyway the worst band for me is probably... all those F_cking manufactured bands, they piss me off the most - they didnt exactly have to work that hard to get famous - yes the singers had to sing competitively to get into it, but they still dont deserve it.

the biggest problem i have with the manufactured bands is when they refer to themselves as musicians or artists... they're ENTERTAINERS... that is all... yes they have a modicum of talent but it's not a creative talent... they're some companies mascots or puppets to sell a product and nothing else... they're pretty faces who make money... same as the pillsbury doughboy and that little bitch in the pepsi commercials...

Untitled,

In response to "Whats wrong with trademarks?"

I don'tt think anything is wrong with trademarks. But they take it way overboard. See for example, I see Rammstein's trademark as being german, lol. Slipknot, however, are total nu-metal to me. The masks didn't bother me all that much until people becae obsessed with them and crap, like I remember once someone was like "Do you like sid?" and I was like " who the hell is that?" and they tell me he's from slipknot... But I'd just as soon call them "Stupid Clwon Guy" or "Gas Mask Guy" or "Pig Face Guy" seeing as no one used to know what they looked like... and I believe I better explained it in the first post with the "We wear our masks so that people will concentrate more on our music, rather than our faces and looks." Which is bull. They wear masks to get attention. Just like Christina's lack of clothing. :P
