So something is only liked because it is impossible to play. I think that can be a factor but I don't think you should limit yourself to that. I enjoy primus and thing wes is amazing, he's done some unthinkable stuff. But it's not the only good music out there.

being that i have played a 4 string and a 6 string... that's bullshit... it's not harder just different...
the rhythmic style (or complexity) comes out of your hands not your instrument.
and again... singing and playing an instrument and just singing solo are as complex as the performer wants to make them... i've never heard someone who played and instrument while singing sound as good as a good solo vocalist...

the same could be said about ANY pop style... be it rock / rap / country / teen pop / nu metal / punk... the stuff that becomes really popular in the mainstream is usually all about image...
A LOT of people would rather buy into an image than buy into the music... and they have every right to do so... and that's precisely what pop music gives them...

It can be harder to play a 6 string than 4 string to some people. The necks are sometimes longer and width-wise are different. I never said everyone. No one ever said just because it is more difficult to play made it better either. But it DOES require talent. Something most rappers have none of.

correct me if i'm wrong but you're saying it requires NO talent to be a rapper... if it's so simple why don't you prove it... pull out a rap (any old topic will do...)
you've made more than a few guitar based threads so you must play an instrument which by your posts makes you more talented than most rappers... surely you must be able to lower yourself to their level to prove a point...

If we don't need it, then don't post jackasses.

I didn't say it requires no talent to rap. I'm sure it does. I was just saying how a lot of rappers do not even write the raps or the music, yet they get all the credit. That is all I was saying. I do believe however, if someone writes a rhymre for me and the music is played for me I think I would be able to do that just a tad easier than creating music on my own and performing it. Oh, and thanks for the idea about a new amp. I think I'm gonna go with a marhshall.
