Yeah I'm a big fan of alliteration too, notice: House you used to Hide in, Happy new year.
I like the soundtracks line too, I only wrote that part last nite, it refers to a close friend of mine who tried to commit suicide this christmas. He is stuck on his own in the states and I wish he was here. The whole song is kind of a soundtrack to the parts of ourselves that we kill.

-I Don’t Want To Go On Like This Anymore
Well, my head aches and my mouth is dry,
And all I can think of is how to die,
And I can never find an answer to why,
I should get out of bed and begin to try,
Oh, why?
Can you tell me why?
No one out there I can call a friend,
And I’ve spent every dime I had to spend,
I’m sure someday it will all come to an end,
But if it's not soon then could you tell me when?
Cos I’m tired,
Oh, I’m so tired,
No, I don’t want to go on like this anymore,
I don’t want to be the welcome mat at the door,
I don’t want to feel even lower than the floor,
No, I don’t want to go on like this anymore,
I haven’t showered or shaved in days,
I don’t even recognize my own face,
I’ve been drinking whiskey since I’ve been awake,
I don’t know how many more drugs I can take,
And I cry,
Just look at my eyes,
Hard to believe that this is me,
I’m feeling about as low as can be,
Why can’t this life let go and set me free?
I don’t want to go on, oh Lord, can’t you see?
Look at me,
No, don’t look at me,
No, I don’t want to go on like this anymore,
I don’t want to be the welcome mat at the door,
I don’t want to feel even lower than before,
No, I don’t want to go on like this anymore,
And every day is a pain I can bear no longer,
Well, maybe if I had been a little bit stronger,
But I’ve tried and I’m not and I can’t anymore,
I can’t go on anymore,
No, I don’t want to go on like this anymore,
I don’t want to be the welcome mat at the door,
I don’t want to feel even lower than the floor,
No, I don’t want to go on like this anymore,
I don’t want to go on like this anymore,
I don’t want to go on like this anymore,
I don’t even want to go back to before,
I don’t want to go on like this anymore….

Can I make a suggestion that we all try and write some songs that are less about ourselves? I'm not saying the songs on here so far aren't good, I'm just saying it would be interesting if we wrote stuff from a perspective other than our own. Just a suggestion...

Have a good one
|
Welcome to paradise
We live in unbreakable glass houses
With unbreakable spirits
Unbreakable mirrors
So there's no bad luck here
I hope you enjoy your stay
There's always a party
Day to day, all night
No need for drugs
Intoxicating substances
Under no circumstances
We are fit, perfect
We are happier than content
We are all lucky
We are all winners
There are no sinners
Although here there is no god
We don't fear fear
We won't shed tears
Because we're happy here without you
In paradise
I wrote this too be a short song, with eerie music perhaps. Maybe with a odd voice or something.

-Exceptance
She looked around the room,
She didn’t see anyone she knew,
She took a seat alone at a table meant for two,
She ordered up a drink,
To help her try not to think,
She should be used to it by now, this was nothing new
She always receives exceptance from everyone that she loves,
And she always gives acceptance that what she gives is not enough,
Yes, she always gets exceptance from the ones that she holds dear,
And she always gives acceptance to the fact that they’re never near,
She made her way back home,
Spent the rest of the night by the phone,
But the only one listening was the dial tone,
She finally went to bed,
Oh, “We’ll call you” is what they had said,
Lying there she realized she never felt so alone,
She always receives exceptance from everyone that she loves,
And she always gives acceptance that what she gives is not enough,
Yes, she always gets exceptance from everyone that she cares,
And she always gives acceptance when every time they’re not there,
Today they heard the news,
About that different girl from their school,
She was found there beside the phone hanging from a noose,
By the phone lay a note,
And on the paper this is what she wrote,
“All that I ever wanted from this life was to be ‘cool’”,
“I always received exceptance from everyone I loved,
And I always gave acceptance that what I gave was not enough,
Yes, I always got exceptance from the ones I held dear,
And I always gave acceptance when they were never ever near,
So now I’m not here….”

No. Haha, you go ahead if you want dude.
Here's another one,
[i love her so]
[efunk, 2003]
teeming with infection
reeking of perfection
oh how i love her so
im gonna go again
almost seeking for a sin
oh how i love her so
make it go forgotten
almost completely rotten
but i love her so
eyes to her eyes
there was a slight surprise
but i think its growing
in the rivers we are rowing
should they go on forever
in a simplified endeavor
[chorus]
infamous in time
like a witty clever rhyme
of how i love her so
oh how i love her so
its the places we could go
in the green grass or the snow
feelings i cant control
of how i love her so
oh how i love her so
sometimes i wanna die
continue instead
going crazy with a sigh
down below and in my head
couldve kept my mouth shut
i guess she doesnt mind
i know how i feel
or maybe its a sign
of how i love her so
[chorus] 1x
looking at the back
of the walls i am behind
i saw there were some words
intermixed with a design
i almost couldnt start
a tear even touched my eye
'always follow your heart'
the words said in their reply
i guess thats what ill do
guess thats where ill go
ill tell her its all true
and that i love her so
[chorus] 2x

You don't by any chance listen to Radiohead do you Average? I really like what you've written but I think I know where the influence came from...
