Removing Music Video Subtitles
How do I remove the subtitles that appear in some of the music videos that I downlad from the web? Is there a method or software program that will do this? I find subtitles distracting and they sometimes obscure the details in the video.

Apart from trying to redraw every pixel under the subtitles on every single frame, I don't see any other (easy) way as they are part of the video.

Hmmm,There's got to be an easier way.I mean if the video editors at MTV can add subtitles then shouldn't one be able to remove them? Now that I think of it,maybe I should ASK MTV how they would go about removing those annoying subtitles (or maybe someone with similar credentials).Anybody know who I can contact in particular?

Adding and removing subtitles is not the same job dude!!
Make a chocolate pie, cook it, then try to remove the chocolate from the whole pie!!
Kuranes is right, every pixel must be redrawn...

When you download a compressed movie clip, the subtitles are part of the movie. Just pixels. In short, there is absolutely no way to remove the subtitles from your movie. In long, as suggested, it would be possible to edit the subtitles out, pixel by pixel. But...
Say...25 frames per second, subtitles are shown for what, 5 seconds? 125 frames would need to be edited. Have fun! To edit one frame well I bet it would take a MINIMUM of 30 minutes, but if the background is complex, it could take days to get it looking right. So, 30 minutes X 125 frames = 62.5 hours...for one, 4 minute video clip.
