Young'n from what I have read of your posts you are just as mature and intelligent as anyone else on this forum.
Don't you just think that sometimes when you stand back and actually watch a band you notice so much more and you just become completely enveloped in the music. I much prefer that to getting the shit kicked out of me or crushed to death.

That is true. My first concert i saw Bad Religion and NOFx , the casualties and several good bands. I didnt want to get involved with those crazy kids throwing each other around. I had never heard Bad Religion but listening to them talk about polotics(i cant spell) and religion and other fun stuff was awesome. Now i still love the music but am more than willing to jump into a pit of crowd surf. Its just awesome.
I dont think there is anything better than a good concert
you just feel so exhilerated afterwards

7) Rollins (doing black flag songs)

10) Mr Bungle

Well that could be my top ten other great shows

The Ramones, Swervedriver, Janes Addiction (in 1990), Anthrax (in 1990), I saw nirvana another 2 times but the phenican club gig was by far the best (the photos on the inner sleve of in utero are all from that gig) NOFX in about 1994 were really good, the supersuckers, babes in toyland, Nick Cave and the and the bad seeds, iggy pop, smashing pumpkins (siamese dream tour), primus (before herb left), PJ Harvey, Queens of the stone age, propagandhi, midnight oil, Butthole surfers (1991), The cure, slayer

anyhoot I might leave it there as the question was my favourite live band, if I go further it will be listing good shows and festival gigs which I don't think should be counted.

you've seen the ramones??? you lucky bastard

SILVERCHAIR LIVE. Download a video from this year or Big Day Out and be amazed at a flawless performance. I went to one this year and I was blown away.
