Show Me...

I'm a metal head. I stayed away from electronic for a long time. Show me why you like it. I don't have a problem with looking up artists..just gimme the names.

If you're a metalhead try Numb's Blood Meridian Album especially the track No Time.

Anyway, music is a way of stirring emotion. No doubt you like metal because it's angry etc. Well electronic music can be incredibly good at stirring a much wide range of emotions (read underground electronic music).

You'd probably like stuff like Converter, Gridlock, VNV Nation etc. The more industrial side of the spectrum.

But that is just a guess...

Actually I can't get into screaming. It's the serene actual singing in the songs I listen for. I like the calm, backed by guitars drums etc. Some of those guys are all right. I could listen to this.

Venetian Snare!

don't worry, most of his music has no singing. maybe one song called Dad, he actually sings on it, that's about it.

Listen to anything on Warp Records, if I were you I would start with Aphex Twin.

I'm not that into metal so I can't say I know exactly where you're coming from, but you may like industrial more than other types of electronic. Keef mentioned a few bands, but you should check out this thread:

=> Rivet-Head Classics [Industrial Essentials]

Also, you might like drum 'n bass. I personally like DJ compilations, like Dieselboy and such. Also, stuff like The Prodigy might be up your alley.

Don't forget he'll be used to a more generic song structure...

Actually some old Skinny Puppy might be up your street! Like stuff off The Process or Too Dark Park.

Try some Dryft for a harder but also more mellow Drum and Bass. Written by a guy who used to be in a metal band so you might get the right feeling from it!

I like this way more then I anticipated. I can't find Venetian Snare anywhere.
