Question finding Dark music

I read in another post about gothic movement and their music...I heard some groups you guys list in there but I'm looking for something more electronic (though I've heard switchblade symphony and I liked it)
I love the Virgin suicides soundtrack scored by air

Can anyone recommend me some dark tunes like those??

You know like AIR (hh?), portishead, massive attack, somasonic, etc etc

take a look at the Projekt label, quite a few of their releases are goth influenced, but are somewhat on the dark side of electronics. also some other artists:

Lull (Mick Harris of Scorn)
Lustmord (Brian Williams)
Caul
Coph Nia

which reminds me, also check out Cold Meat Industry (label based out of Scandanavia)

Air have a new album coming out by the way, but it doesn't seem like it will be dark. In fact their last two albums to me didn't seem dark either.

The last two air albumbs weren't as dark as gothic music...that's for sure
though for me they seem very dark
have you ever watched The virgin suicides? or the MGM tv series DEAD LIKE ME??
it is not that their goth nor satanic nor nothing....in fact they are somehow comedic, altough, they can create a dark mood in your room when you watch them
Its the same thing with air

I donīt know if what I just said make any sense...but anyway I think you can understand it

by the way thanks for those names....

I understand what you mean. But The Virgin Suicides is not a very dark movie, even though it has a pretty dark theme.

I gotta check out some of the names myself. like Caul, Coph Nia, Collide and Rhea's Obsession.

yeah, Caul is pretty good...albums such as "Hidden", "Muein", "Crucible", "Reliquary", "Light has many Lamps" and the box set "A Golden Epiphany" is really good (well in my eyes)

I'd suggest checking out Hollydrift as well.

It's all tape loops of field recordings and for the first few minutes you think, "this is crap", but suddenly it all makes sense!
