I don't know a whole lot about Jay Z. Is The Black album his latest release? Regardless, I don't think it will be his last album as he has really made a name for himself during the last few years. I wouldn't be suprised if he was around at the end of the decade to tell you the truth...not that I think he should be though.

Actually yes the Black Album is the latest one, but Jay Z sai it is going to be his last one. The thing is most rappers such as Lil Kim Snoop Dogg think it is not going to be his last one those rappers say he will be back for at least one more. I hope he has more to come!

Well if he said it will be his last album then it probably will be. He'll probably appear on a lot of other albums but as far as his solo carreer goes, it sounds like it's all over. (hooray!)
He is getting pretty old though isn't he? Do you know how old he is? Something like 40 or along those lines I heard...not too sure though. I guess you can't go on forever and he's had his taste of success (with album sales) so it's got to come to an end some day.

I hope its his last album and I think he realized it was time to stop making music. He really got a lot worse as his career progressed and now hes finally realized that I think. His music is so poppy now its sad, compared to his old stuff which was pretty quality stuff. He's got enough money now to live happily for a while and has other businesses to keep him going also. He seemed to be pretty into beyonce also so maybe wife and kids?
Well anyways I think its gonna be his last album, its a horrible way to go out but its still a way out. Like e said I don't think he'd declare something like that without putting thought into it. This doesn't mean he can't rap though, I still expect to see him doing a lot of work with the Neptunes and roc people. Only time will tell though.

I remember him saying part of the reason this would be his last is because he's just bored. He's got tons of hit records, lots of money from other stuff too. Maybe he just wants to get into the other stuff, he's practically his own business what with his own clothing line amoung other things. I think he'll make another album after a breif 'retirement' of maybe 5 years.

Ahh ok...that's not old at all then. Like what spacemanspiff was saying, I wouldn't be suprised if he retired and then made a bit of a revival.
