winamp

I guess I use winamp3, it always seems to be a bit laggy though when minimizing and restoring. Was wondering if anyone has a good mp3 player, I like winamp but its all I really use just because I've never really had exposure to anything else and the playlist feature is decent can't really see how that could be done differently. But anyways, looking for an mp3 player with a playlist function and that isnt laggy at all, not really sure how winamp is since this computer is id say above average.

Music Match Jukebox

Hey "Music Match Jukebox" works really well, same features as Winamp, and it's free also. You can also record your cd's to your computer with the program, you can get it here:

, I used to have winamp3. then I realized it's just winamp2 but much slower. so I still use winamp2.x. I'm sure there are plenty of other things out there. such as Music Match.

Actually this might sound weird but Winamp 2.9x is actually newr than winamp 3. They stopped making winamp 3 a long time ago and are now going to release winamp 5. In the mean time they have still been updating winamp 2 so that's what I'd recommend to you.

Any links for it? I feel like I got mine from the offical winamp site and usually with software i just click until I get the newest program.

I used music match with my old computer and the interface was a bit confusing to me.

That's for winamp 5: http://www.winamp.com/player/

I don't know if you can still download version 2 from their site actually. You might have to do a search on google for it.

winamp 5 an improvement? I don't want to get swindled into thinking I'm upgrading my winamp again when I'm really just downgrading.

, they stoped making winamp3? that's funny.
I just checked the website. winamp5 is there staring me in the face. I guess I'll take the plunge and at least try it out. I have no idea what it could do that my current player doesn't do just fine. but I love listening to that "Whips the llama's ass" soundclip.

i still use winamp 2.90 and i don't think i'll change... i had 3 for a while but even on a 1.5 ghz system it was laggy... whereas 2.x ran fine on anything... winamp3 seemed to be the bloated winXP version of the software... made for the same people that think things like fading menus and 3d icons are 'features' of a program as opposed to fluff...

Yeah winamp 3 had big problems with lagging etc so they just gave up on it and started making winamp 5 from scratch. During that time they kept updating winamp 2 but I think that's stopped now...they want people using version 5.
