As far as my knowledge, prodigy started the whole MTV electronica wave, so saying they threw themselves at the hype for cash doesn`t sound correct. Music For The Jilted Generation was the one great album by them, Fat Of The Land wasn`t anything ineresting, just hype. I`m not excited for a new realease somehow, it`s not for me, but maybe a younger generation will dig it.

To be honest, I kinda liked "Firestarter" but then it got old, and I was never really impressed by anything other than the "Smack my b.i.t.c.h. up" video....That was awesome! I saw a video where they were all working at a carnival and people were drinking milk like it was crack, that was kinda funny I guess.....
But musically,....not too impressive. I happened to hear that Maxim (the dance? MC?, etc..)guy's solo album and it sounded like hot garbage found in a rotting midget corpse in a haunted McDonald's.....I think these guys were lucky to be around when they were to cash in on the "electronica" fad while it was profitable....Prodigy can be outdone by millions of kids with laptops and Acid programs.....
rubbish....

Yeah, I pretty much agree, and the Smack my ***** Up Video kicks ass, my mate still has it somewhere... and too true about the kids with ACiD bit...

"Those are some funky tunes, how'd you make them?"

"ACiD Pro, bi-atch!"

(roll eyes)

Same goes for anyone who puts 'DJ' at the start of their name, when all they've done is made a beat in ACiD. I *earnt* those two little letters!!

And it wont sound like that (or so we hope). Liam gave an extensive interview to nekosite.co.uk (also available at theprodigy.com), talking about his new songs, collaborations, and most importantly he kept going back to Baby's got a Temper, how the song just wasent right and it was the first time he had questioned himself if what he had just released was wrong..

Awesome interview & worth the read.

You can also read a quick hashup of the interview at nme.com

What about all their cracking hits like 'Charly' 'Everybody In The Place' 'Your Love' 'Wind It Up'. These were the hits that made them big before they decided to change their image and drop the 'the' in there name.

They were pure rave at the time now to be honest i think they have gone poo!! The last good song they did was 'No Good (start the dance)'....pure classic.
