I bought the Q Magazine's 1001 best songs of all time. A complete dissapointment. Over half of their choices make no sense what so ever.

Wouldn't it be great if Claim started writing reviews?

I know you have left now which is a shame as I was enjoying trying to get a conversation out of you. Why do you feel you can call people retards in the same breath as you attack them for being predjudice? If you don't like this site then you do not have to post on it, there is no one forcing you. And as I have said before insulting people is not the best way to change their views. What exactly are you trying to achieve?

I am actually thinking of getting a review fanzite started ... it was one of those ideas that never really went anywhere though. I think I could write good reviews: obviously on a forum it is difficult to say exactly what you mean, especially when I don't have time to think about my posts (web time is limmitted). In fact I have written a review on my website if anyone's interested ... I'll just get the link.

I personally think that pretty much all music journalism so far has been pretty crap. It relies too much on reviews.

Reviews are pointless. You can't take a piece of music, listen to it and then mark it out of 10. Music is what it is because it represents an individuals feelings, thoughts, experiences, whatever. Nobody will be exactly the same as the artist, and so they have no right to judge his expression.
