Suede split
I just came back from a trip to London to see Suede's 'last ever' gig at the Astoria. Brett did announce that there would be another album sometime, though not yet, so maybe it wasnt their last ever at all......
Anyhow, it was a great gig. I havent bought a Suede album since 'Coming Up', because I wasnt too impressed with the singles that were released, but I may have been wrong here, so I'll probably go and get the more recent stuff now.
Brett Anderson put on a hell of a show, and the atmosphere was electric. There was a brilliant rendition of my favourite B side, 'The Living Dead', and some very energetic versions of their happier stuff - Brett was heard to shout 'Bounce, you f***ers!', so we did.
Anyone else love this band, or not? Or want to upset me by telling me how crap you think they are?!!

I don't own any of their albums, but I like quite a few of their songs: "Animal Nitrate", "Beautiful Ones", "Everything Will Flow", "Electricity", "She's In Fashion".
Borrowed "Head Music" once from the library and I have to say that I thought it was apart from the songs I listed above, pretty crappy...

Ah, cant really comment on that, as I dont own Head Music either. The songs you listed are all good. My favourites come mostly from the first album, 'Suede' (Animal Nitrate being one of them). I suspect Head Music prob wasnt all that good, which is partly why I think they're splitting - Brett apparently said he needs to get his 'demon' back.

Head Music?
Oh no, my boy, forget about that one!!!
You should definitely try Dog Man Star, followed by Coming Up, and, if you still can't get enough of those charming boys, you can always give Suede a try...

bloody hell,
Head Music is one of the albums i can never abandon!!!
oh, dears,
can't get enough, electricity, elephant man are glamorous tracks,
&probably the strongest track -> down
&the heart-melting ones -> he's gone, indian strings,
&mighty great -> everything will flow and she's in fashion
even the closing track is simply beautiful:
crack in the union jack...
i have all the albums except Sci-Fi Lullabies / B-Side Collection
and i always find a new story from me in each, from the initial album 'Suede' through the latest one 'A New Morning' what people claim is that
"Brett has ended up what he wants to say via music, it's a boring repeat everytime!!"
but i don't agree with that...

in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.

here are some lyrics i've always in my mind off Head Music:
Everything Will Flow
"The neon lights in the night tonight
will say “everything will flow"
The stars that shine in the sky tonight
know "everything will flow"
The lovers kissed with an openness
will say "everything will flow"
The cars parked in the hyper market
know "everything will flow" "
Down
"And there's a sadness in your style
And there's a madness in your smile "
+2.5 min guitar solo (makes you down under)
She's In Fashion
"Oh and if she tells you 2 is 1 then 2 is 1 my love,
Oh and if she tells you you should know,
then you should know my love"
Head Music
"So give me head, give me head, give me head music instead"
Indian Strings
“And you’ll see my heart is broken in two
’cos I’ve seen the real you”
Savoir Faire
"She lives in a house she's stupid as a mouse"
Can't Get Enough
"I feel real now walking like a woman and talking like a stone age man"
He’s Gone
“Tears on a pillow
Eyes on the phone
You pour all the love that you keep inside
Into a song
Like 'He's Gone'”
