What CD-Player to get?

What do you think of the Sony D-EJ2000 or Sony ATRAC3/MP3 CD Walkman D-NE1?

I don't know, I've got a Sony D-E350. I've had it for about a year and a half of moderatly heavy use. got it for about $60 if I recall corectly. Haven't had any problems yet.

So that MP3 model will pay a cd full of mp3 files? my brother had something similar once and he said dispite the ability to play them, it did not have a very good set up. not very user friendly. I have a DVD/CD/MP3 player and the mp3 interface is so horrible I never use it for playing mp3s. so if you get that one you might want to pay special attention to how the user interface looks.

Good point about the mp3 feature. I heard that mp3s were of lesser audio quality, esp. at 64 bitrate, which is a bit low.

So if i rule that out what about the DJE-2000? It's MSRP is $200, which is a ripoff, but the it does give you a rechargable stand. Will it pay off?

so I looked that bad boy up on Sony's website. Pretty snazy looking item there. but with that 200 price tag seems like alot of that money is going towards the snazz. Like it being ultra-light and thin. I dunno if that is very important to you, but that definily bumps up the price. I'm sure it's nicer than my $60 one, but I doubt the music will sound three times as good on that one. I bet you could find one with many less bells and whistles for a bit less. Do you really need 10 different modes of play back? I can't even think of what they would be? Mine just has repeat, loop and normal. That's all I need. If you feel like you want all of those options they have listed then by all means go for it(the recharge thing sounds cool). But I doubt the player itself is so great that it will give you some sort of orgasmic music experience or anything.

Dude, I love that line... oragsmic music experience. But it can be like, so true you know? All those features and snazz on your personal music player. righteous!

But like if you don't have that much money, the ATRAC3 is still a good deal dude. It looks radical too.

They have really good MP3/CD players. Check out the SlimX range.

I agree with spaceman, unless your shopping for those features 200 is a bit much to spend on a cd player now. I know a couple friends that got mp3/cd players when they first came out and they seemed happy, but I can't say I've used one personally.
